2023年12月22日（金）本学の留学生、海外からの研究者との交流を目的にグローバルカフェ特別編としてミニ交流会を行いました。2023年9月に国費留学生として来日したタイ出身のRattipornさんより、お国の文化、地理的特徴、民族衣装、食について等、写真や動画を交えてお話しいただきました。その後、果物（柑橘類やパイナップルなど）につける甘辛ディップをRattipornさん説明のもと参加者でつくりました。唐辛子をすりこぎで細かくし、砂糖と塩を加えてよく混ぜれば完成です。パイナップルやみかんをつけて試食すると、フルーツの甘さが際立ちつつも辛さが後からくる、新しい感覚が新鮮です！

＊本イベントには高崎商科大学の学生も参加してくれました。今後も大学を超えた交流を進めていきます。

On December 22 (Fri.), 2023, we held a mini-exchange party as a special edition of the Global Café to promote exchanges with international students and researchers from overseas at Takasaki University of Health and Welfare(TUHW). Rattiporn who studies as a MEXT scholarship students at Graduated School of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Thailand, talked about her country’s culture, geographical features, ethnic costumes, food, etc., with photos and videos. After that, participants made sweet and spicy dips for fruits (citrus fruits, pineapples, etc.) under the instruction of Rattiporn. Chili peppers are ground with a pestle, and sugar and salt are added and mixed well. When tasted with pineapple and mandarin oranges, the sweetness of the fruit stood out while the spiciness followed, creating a new and fresh sense!
There was also a “World Geography Game,” participants from Thailand, China, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, the U.S., the U.K., Brazil annd Japan were mixed into three groups and put their knowledge of their home regions to good use in a competitive atmosphere. Of course, there were gifts for the winners! We had a great time talking about global topics with graduate students and researchers, with whom we do not usually have much contact.
