【国際交流】台湾弘光大学と「Beating　COVID-19」オンライン交流会を行いました

2021年3月6日(土)　11時から13時、看護学科学生６名と既卒生1名、教員3名、台湾弘光大学看護大学院生22名、教員2名(雷若莉主任/郝德慧先生)、総勢34名がオンラインにて交流しました。はじめに台湾と日本のCOVID-19の感染状況や感染予防対策の現状についてプレゼンテーションを行いました。その後、フリーディスカッションという流れで交流を進めました。台湾ではSARSの教訓から、新型コロナウイルス感染症に対して、政府が素早く対応に取り組み、全国民にマスクが手に入りやすいシステムを作ったそうです。また、弘光大学の大学院には既に病院で勤務している人もいることから、感染予防対策の意識が高いことがわかりました。さらに、感染予防対策として、高崎健康福祉大学が実施している「大学への入構許可制度」は優れた取り組みであるということがわかり、本学の学生にとって良い刺激となりました。今回学生が初めて英語でプレゼンテーションを行い、緊張したもののとても上手に発表することができて、今回の経験が自信となり、また英語を勉強するモチベーションになったそうです。新型コロナウイルス感染症により現地での交流は叶いませんでしたが、オンラインで海外の方との交流を持つという素晴らしい体験ができたとの声も聞かれました。オンライン交流会の最後にお互いがCOVID-19の終息を期待し、対面で会うことを楽しみにしていることを伝え合いました。看護学科として今後もオンライン交流会を計画していく予定です。

The first international online student exchange in the nursing department was held on the 6^th of March, 2021. A total of 34 participants (6 students, 1 former student, 3 faculty members from Takasaki University of Health and Welfare (TUHW), and 24 from Hungkuang University (22 graduate students, and 2 faculty members: Director. Ruoh Lih Lei, Dr. Angelica Tehui  Hao) joined the online exchange program. Presentations were given on the current status of COVID-19 and infection prevention measures in Taiwan and Japan. This was followed by a free discussion. In Taiwan, based on experience from the SARS epidemic, the government has quickly responded to the COVID-19 situation and created a system to make masks easily available to all citizens. We also learned that some of the graduate students at Hungkuang University are already working in hospitals and are highly aware of infection prevention measures. Furthermore, TUHW students realized that our university has an excellent online system to monitor student health status to prevent infection. This was the first time for the students to give presentations in English, and although they were nervous, they were able to give very good presentations, and the experience gave them confidence and motivation to study English more. The students said that they were able to have a wonderful experience interacting with people from overseas because of the online format. At the end of the online exchange program, students from both countries expressed their hopes for the end of COVID-19 and looked forward to meeting face-to-face. We hope to continue planning online exchanges activities to give students opportunities in the future.
